Step 1 — The insert

Your cardboard insert, to the millimetre

Set the inside of the box, then add a seat for each product. Every seat is a shaped recess the product drops into; drag them on the drawing, or let auto-layout place them. Walls and seats are die-cut from one micro-flute blank.

Each seat keeps enough board around it. Add seats, resize them, and the walls get thinner — we say when it is too thin. Seats can never cross the tray wall.
