Open the Studio for the box you want, enter the inside dimensions in millimetres, then choose paper, printing and quantity. Add an insert if you need one, check the 3D preview and add the box to the cart. Checkout takes a few minutes and needs no account.

No. You can check out as a guest. If you like, you can create an account at checkout to keep track of your orders, files and invoices in one place.

50 pieces per design for rigid boxes (Base & Lid, Magnetic, Drawer, 3-Piece) and for cardboard inserts; 200 for Discovery Sets; 300 for printed folding cartons. Foam inserts start at a single piece, from €25 excluding VAT.

Not as a normal order: rigid boxes start at 50 pieces (Discovery Sets at 200) and the cart does not accept fewer. If you want a prototype first, choose Custom sample in the Studio: one piece in your exact size for €60 (€200 with printing), excluding VAT, up to 350 mm on the longest side. Foam inserts can be ordered from a single piece.

No: the minimum order is fixed at 50 pieces for rigid boxes (200 for Discovery Sets), because the set-up cost cannot be spread over fewer boxes at a fair price. If you only need one piece to check size, paper and printing, order a Custom sample: €60 without printing, €200 with printing, excluding VAT.

Yes: you can order up to 1,000 rigid boxes and 5,000 folding cartons online. For more, send us your configuration from the Studio and we’ll reply with a quote, usually the same working day.

Yes. Each configured box goes into the cart as its own line, so you can combine different sizes, papers or designs in one checkout. The minimum quantity applies to each line.

No. Every box is made to order, to the millimetre, in our workshop in Morrovalle, Italy, so there is no stock of standard boxes ready to ship. The production time is shown in each Studio.

Yes. Save the configuration in the Studio: you get a link that restores size, paper and quantity, with no account or e-mail. Send it to a colleague or your designer, or keep it to pick up later.

Yes. Anyone can order online at the prices shown in the Studios, and at checkout you can enter a delivery address different from the billing one, for example your client’s.

Automatically, from your box’s size, the options you choose and the quantity. You see the unit price and the total while you configure, with no quote to wait for. It is the real price: our server recalculates it when you add the box to the cart, and at checkout only VAT and shipping are added.

No. All prices on the site are shown excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout at the rate of the billing country, for example 22% in Italy, 20% in France and 21% in Spain.

Because set-up work is shared across more boxes. The unit price drops at each step (50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 pieces): on a Base & Lid box, each piece costs 35% to 58% less at 1,000 than at 50, depending on the size.

No. The Studio total already includes everything you configured, printing and insert included. At checkout only VAT and shipping are added.

Standard configurations are priced instantly. We quote by hand for more than 1,000 rigid boxes or 5,000 folding cartons, for die-cut cardboard inserts and for foam outside our stock sheets. Send the request from the Studio, with your configuration attached, and we’ll reply the same working day.

Printing and inserts are charged per box on top of the base price. In the Base & Lid Studio, for example, hot foil adds €1.20 per box and screen printing €1.50, plus €1.20 (lid and bottom) or €1.60 (four sides) for the printing area. Each surcharge is shown next to its option; with “No printing” the price does not change.

The discount is automatic and depends on quantity: the unit price drops at 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 pieces. For more than 1,000 pieces, ask us for a quote.

Rigid boxes covered in premium paper (Base & Lid, Magnetic, Drawer, 3-Piece and Discovery Set), printed folding cartons, and fitted inserts in foam or die-cut cardboard. Each has its own Studio with a 3D preview and a live price; cardboard inserts are quoted the same working day.

Base & Lid: the classic, most economical rigid box. Magnetic: opens like a book, with a flap held by magnets, ideal for gifts. Drawer: a tray that slides out of a sleeve. 3-Piece: a body capped by two identical lids. Discovery Set: holds vials and small samples. For light retail packs in larger runs, choose printed folding cartons.

Inside. You enter the inside dimensions in millimetres — the space your product needs. The Base & Lid, Magnetic, Drawer and Folding Carton Studios also show the outside size, useful for shelf space and shipping. For a Discovery Set you choose the vials instead.

Inside dimensions: Base & Lid from 60 × 60 × 20 to 350 × 350 × 120 mm; Magnetic from 60 × 60 × 18 to 330 × 340 × 115 mm; Drawer up to 130 × 300 × 340 mm. Discovery Sets take vials 8–16 mm in diameter and 60–160 mm long; folding cartons go from 25 to 400 mm long, 25 to 250 mm deep and 30 to 450 mm high. In every Studio you can enter any size within its limits (shown as you type). The one exception is the Drawer box: outside its 15 catalogue sizes, we price it by quote.

Yes, write to us. Send the inside dimensions, the quantity, the paper or colour you have in mind, and whether you need printing or an insert; we’ll tell you if and how we can make it. The quote button in each Studio sends your configuration along automatically.

Yes. Every Studio has a 3D preview you can rotate, open and close, with your artwork on it. To hold the real materials in your hands, order the Sample Pack.

They are built from 1.5 mm greyboard, wrapped in the paper you choose, with the paper turned 20 mm inside the box. The flap closes with two 10 mm magnets. Each box is lined and folded by hand in our workshop.

A rigid box made of a body and two identical lids that cap it at the top and bottom. Between the two lids, a band of the body stays visible: you can use it as a contrasting stripe. It is covered in the same papers as our Base & Lid boxes.

A slim box with a die-cut cradle that holds perfume vials or small samples side by side. You choose the number of vials, their diameter (8–16 mm) and their length; the width of the box follows the vials automatically. The minimum is 200 pieces.

Not online: the Studios make rectangular boxes only, in the styles listed. A window is available on folding cartons (straight tuck end with window). For anything else, write to us.

We stock twelve covering papers: six smooth — Bouganville, Black, Cream, Abysse, Kraft and Windsor (English green) — and six embossed — Black, Brick, Brown, Grey, Navy and White. They are the same papers you find in the Sample Pack. In the rigid-box Studios you can also choose Favini luxury papers (+10%).

Yes: a white or black lining, in every rigid-box Studio. On the 3-Piece box the lining goes inside the body and both lids.

Not as a special order: the Studios offer the twelve papers we keep in stock, plus the Favini luxury papers (+10%) in the rigid-box Studios. That is what makes the instant price and our lead times possible.

On rigid boxes: hot foil in one colour, or screen printing in up to two Pantone inks. Both give flat, solid colours, with no gradients. Full-colour (CMYK) printing is available on folding cartons.

Not in the rigid-box Studios at the moment: hot foil and screen printing are flat colours, so photos and gradients cannot be reproduced. For photographic, full-colour artwork choose a printed folding carton, made in 4-colour offset.

Yes, with screen printing: it uses real Pantone Solid Coated inks, chosen from the list in the Studio, up to two per box. Colours on screen are only approximate: if the exact shade matters, ask us for a printed ink sample (draw-down) before production.

No. The online Studios print only the outside surfaces they offer (on the Magnetic box: lid, bottom and flap). Folding cartons are also printed on the outside only.

Yes. Printing is optional: leave it on “No printing” and the price does not change. A plain box in one of our embossed or coloured papers is a perfectly good choice.

No, there is one technique per project, applied to all the printable surfaces of the box. You can switch technique at any time before ordering.

Fine Favini papers (The Tube, The Tube Hide, Twill and Remake collections) that you can choose in the Base & Lid, Magnetic, Drawer and 3-Piece Studios, under “Luxury papers · Favini”. They add 10% to the price of the box, and the Studio shows the new price straight away.

No. Artwork is optional when you configure: upload it in the Studio or send it after checkout. Either way we check it for free before anything is printed.

For hot foil and screen printing: a vector file, SVG or PDF, in one colour (save Illustrator files as PDF). For full-colour folding cartons: PDF, PNG or JPG. Each file can be up to 25 MB.

Add 3 mm of bleed (let the background run 3 mm past the cut) and keep text and logos inside the safe area, at least 3 mm from the cut (5 mm inside the printable window on Magnetic boxes). Use images at 300 dpi and hot foil lines thicker than 0.3 mm. The Studio’s print check warns you if something is off.

For hot foil and screen printing we need a vector file (SVG or PDF), because the foil plate and the screen are made from the outlines of your logo. A JPG or PNG at 300 dpi works only for full-colour printing on folding cartons.

Yes. After you order, our prepress team checks your artwork by hand, free of charge, and sends you a proof before anything is printed. While you design, the Studio’s automatic print check also flags resolution, bleed and colour problems.

Yes, for Base & Lid boxes and folding cartons. In the Base & Lid Studio you can download the dieline (the flat cutting drawing of the box) at 1:1 in SVG, plus a ZIP with a specification sheet. The Folding Carton Studio gives you a 1:1 PDF with cut, crease, bleed and safe-area layers, plus DXF and SVG.

In the Base & Lid Studio you can start from eight layouts built to your box size, add your logo and type text directly in the editor (sans, serif or mono typefaces, regular or bold). Every element stays movable and editable.

Each file can be up to 25 MB. If an upload does not go through, complete your order anyway and e-mail the file to info@scatole.com with your order number: artwork can always be sent after checkout.

You are responsible for making sure that uploaded text and images do not infringe intellectual property rights or contain unlawful material. We check files for technical suitability and layout. We may pause an order if content appears offensive or inappropriate and ask you for more information.

Polyurethane foam, 18 kg/m³, in anthracite. Stock thicknesses: 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 55 mm; other thicknesses are quoted by hand.

In a regular grid, right through the foam: rectangular, rounded or circular pockets, up to 8 × 6, with at least 8 mm of foam around and between them. The Studio warns you if a wall gets too thin. For a shape of your own, upload a DXF of the piece or send us the item.

Yes. Foam inserts are cut one at a time, so you can order a single piece, from €25 excluding VAT. Production takes 12 working days.

From 60 × 60 mm up to 600 × 400 mm. Larger pieces are a packaging project in their own right, and we quote them by hand.

Die-cut micro-flute corrugated board — E-flute 1.5 mm, F-flute 1.1 mm or B-flute 3 mm — in white or kraft: light, rigid and fully recyclable. Each product drops into its own shaped seat, and the insert is assembled without glue. Minimum 50 pieces, with a firm quote the same working day.

Choose shaped foam when the product needs protection, and shaped cardboard for presentation: it is lighter and fully recyclable. Either way, the insert’s size follows your box.

Add the insert in the box’s Studio (Base & Lid, Magnetic, Drawer or 3-Piece) before adding the box to the cart: its size follows the box. In the 3D preview you can switch between micro-flute cardboard and foam and see the insert’s dimensions. Box + foam goes into the cart as one set; box + cardboard is sent as a quote request with the box details attached.

Yes, and for irregular shapes it is the best way: we cut the insert to the real item instead of to a drawing. Write to info@scatole.com first, so we can tell you how to send it and confirm what we need.

Yes, in the Internal Shaped Foam Studio. Draw only the outline of the piece, at 1:1 scale in millimetres — not the box or the edge of the insert. We centre the piece and keep at least 10 mm of foam on every side, so the piece can be at most the insert size minus 20 mm. The Studio checks this when you upload.

Folding cartons are light boxes in 300 g/m² board, printed in full colour, laminated and delivered flat: the typical packaging for cosmetics, supplements, food and small gifts. They make sense from 300 pieces and are priced online in the Folding Carton Studio, with a 3D preview and a downloadable dieline.

Eight styles, all priced online: reverse tuck end, straight tuck end, tuck top with lock bottom, crash-lock bottom, snap-lock (1-2-3) bottom, hang-tab tuck box, straight tuck end with window, and hinged-lid tray. Auto-bottom styles open in one move and are worth it from a few hundred pieces.

From 300 to 5,000 pieces online, in runs of 300, 500, 750, 1,000, 2,000 or 5,000. Above 5,000 pieces we quote by hand. Shipping is a flat rate by number of pieces (see Shipping).

In full colour (CMYK offset), on the outside only, on 300 g/m² board, then laminated: matte is included, gloss and soft-touch are options. They are die-cut, creased and glued in Italy and delivered flat, ready to fold.

You choose the dispatch time: Fast (4 working days), Standard (6) or Relaxed (8), counted from artwork approval. Standard costs about 10% less than Fast, Relaxed about 13% less.

Inside length from 25 to 400 mm, depth from 25 to 250 mm and height from 30 to 450 mm, to the millimetre. The Studio shows the outside size and the flat blank as you type.

Upload a PDF, PNG or JPG (up to 25 MB) in the carton editor: you can place artwork on every panel and flap. Or send it with your quote request. Keep 3 mm of bleed, a 3 mm safe area and 300 dpi; our prepress team checks everything by hand before printing.

The twelve covering papers we stock, six smooth and six embossed, with print samples on them, plus a real magnetic box. It lets you judge colours, textures, construction and print finishes on your desk.

€9.90 + VAT, shipping included, one per order and with no commitment. It usually ships within 3 working days. If you order it together with boxes, it travels in the same parcel and the order’s normal shipping applies.

Yes. In the Base & Lid, Magnetic, Drawer, 3-Piece and Discovery Set Studios, choose Custom sample next to the quantity. You get one piece made to your exact measurements (for the Discovery Set, with the number of vials you choose, from 2 to 6) at a fixed price: €60 without printing, €200 with printing (excluding VAT). Paper, lining and internal protection are included in the price. Configure these and your artwork as for a normal order, then add the sample to the cart and check out. Samples are available up to 350 mm on the longest side (the Discovery Set has no limit of its own); for larger sizes, write to info@scatole.com. Shipping is calculated at checkout as usual, and the lead time is the one shown in the Studio (15 working days). Folding cartons are not available as samples.

Because a single piece needs the same preparation as a run: it is made and assembled by hand, and your file gets a technical check. A sample costs more per piece but gives you the real box — the right size, the real paper and the real print — before you commit to a full order.

The Sample Pack (€9.90 + VAT, shipping included) lets you touch our twelve papers and a ready-made magnetic box. The Custom sample is one piece of your own box, in your size, with your paper and, if you choose, your printing. If you are still choosing the paper, start with the Sample Pack; if you’ve already chosen it and want to check the size or the print, order a Custom sample.

Custom samples are available up to 350 mm on the longest side. For larger sizes, write to info@scatole.com with the measurements and we’ll let you know what we can do. You can still place a normal order in the Studio, for any size it offers.

Yes. In the Discovery Set Studio choose Custom sample: one piece with the number of vials you choose (2 to 6), for €60 without printing or €200 with printing (excluding VAT). “With printing” means you choose a printing area; paper, lining and internal protection are included in the price. A Discovery Set order starts at 200 pieces.

Debit and credit cards, PayPal and bank transfer. Through PayPal you can also use local methods such as MyBank, iDEAL or Bancontact, depending on your country.

Yes. At checkout choose card payment (debit or credit card) and enter your card details. You can also pay with PayPal or by bank transfer.

After checkout you see the amount and our bank details on the confirmation page and in the confirmation e-mail; use your order number as the payment reference. Production starts once the payment has cleared, so dates count from that moment.

Online orders are paid when you order, by card, PayPal or bank transfer. Cash on delivery is not available.

Rigid boxes and cardboard inserts: 15 working days. Foam inserts: 12. Printed folding cartons: dispatched in 4, 6 or 8 working days, as you choose. Days count from when we receive your payment (for folding cartons, from artwork approval); if your files arrive later, we e-mail you the new date.

A flat rate per order, based on the number of pieces in the cart: up to 100 pieces €10, 101–200 €20, 201–500 €30, 501–1,000 €40, above 1,000 €50. The Sample Pack ships free when ordered on its own.

Online we sell to customers with a billing address in the European Union; the countries are listed at checkout. The same flat shipping rates apply to every address we deliver to.

We ship by express courier. When your parcel is picked up you receive an e-mail with the carrier, the pickup date, the estimated delivery date and the tracking link, which you can also find on the order tracking page.

No. The same flat rate applies to every address we deliver to; no surcharge is added at checkout for islands or remote areas.

Check the working days in the Studio, count them from payment (from artwork approval for folding cartons) and add the courier’s transit time. If you need cartons quickly, choose Fast: 4 working days.

Yes. At checkout you can enter a separate delivery address, for example your warehouse, your shop or your client’s.

You receive a confirmation e-mail straight away, with our bank details if you chose bank transfer. Our team checks every project before production and, if your box carries artwork, sends you a proof; then your boxes are made, packed and handed to the courier, and you receive the tracking link by e-mail.

Use the order tracking page with your order number and billing e-mail, or log in to your account if you created one. When the parcel ships, you also receive the tracking link by e-mail.

E-mail it to info@scatole.com with your order number. We check it and send you a proof; production starts once the files are ready, and if they arrive late we e-mail you an updated date.

Select “Forgot password” on the login page and enter your e-mail address. We will send you a reset link; if it does not arrive, please check your spam folder.

Yes. Keep the link you get when you save the configuration: it restores size, paper and quantity, so you can order again in a few clicks. If the printing or artwork is missing, add it again.

We have been making packaging since 2014 in Morrovalle, in the Marche region of Italy. Rigid boxes are covered and folded by hand, and every project is checked before production.

Our Smooth Kraft covering paper is 100% recyclable and our micro-flute cardboard inserts are fully recyclable. Every box is made in our own workshop in Italy, to the size you need, so no stock is produced in advance.
